Ghostly Encounters in the Ghost Month!

Everybody knows the hilly strecth of road near Relau going to Ayer Itam, everyday many cars, lorries, buses and motorbikes traverse the road. For old cars and motorbikes, going up hill is a challenging task. Anyway.... early one morning my friend used the road going to work. As she was riding her old rickety motorbike, she noticed an old man walking in the middle of the road. He acted like he owned the road, without a care in the world.

"Does this old man has a death wish of something?" she wondered.

Just then, she heard a car zooming up the hill, from behind. She wanted to shout, to warn the old man but the car was too fast. She looked in disbelief as the car hit the old man but nothing happened. It was like the car went through the man!!! So as she passed the old man she dared not look, hoping her old motor bike wouldn't breakdown. She knew what "it" was. I use the word "it" because, the old man wasn't a man. Quickly, she passed the man and was well on her way to Relau.

I also had another student relate to me a similar story when I told her about the "old man", She and her cousin were coming back to Relau late at night and used that strech of road. As they were coming down from the hill the pair spotted an old woman walking by the side of the road. When they got near to her, she DISAPPEARED!!! That's so spooky as it was after midnight. You can bet your pokemon cards, bakugan and BEN10s that they won't use that road again whenever its late.

The funny ending to the story is my friend told her friends about the old man and they decided to play the number for old man for 4D Mangnum. Guess what? They won the 1st prize, all of them got a few thousand ringgit each except my friend who got a fright and some white hair!

Since this is a ghost month, be careful ya! :) Tell me your ghost stories if you have one. If it's intersting I'll put it up here.

Bless you..have a Roti Tissue?!

Haaah.....haaah choo! I need a tissue. sniff sniff... Oops.. That's not what I wanted. Anyway, I recently ordered Roti Tissue and ... Wow, was it big! It starts of as ordinary Roti Canai dough but gets stretched and stretched until it becomes paper thin. A drizzle of sugar and drench it with condensed milk and roll it up into a cone...Tadaaa! Roti Tissue. I wouldn't recommend you blowing your nose on it.

Looking at it, I didn't know which end to start from. Luckily the helpful "mamak"* offered a tip.

"Start at the top!"

The Roti Tissue is very crunchy and crumbles in your hand. That is when its not sticking to you courtesy of the condensed milk!! If you want to try Roti Tissue, go to Indian Muslim restaurants like Pelita or Dinas here in Sg. Ara.

The flu, UFOs and my new laptop!

I've returned from my trip from KL and looking forward to getting back to my normal routine. But as luck would have it..... I caught the flu. No...no H1N1 but I was real scared. I had high temperature for 2 days and my faced looked like a zombie out of Resident Evil. The skin around my nose was peeling and red. On top of it all I went 2 days WITHOUT food. Just slept...mumbled...moaned and dreamt.

A week ago, I decided not to wait for PC Fair and bought my laptop straight away. I went to a trusted dealer and she gave me the same offer she was going to give at the fair!!! Yahoo... I also got something extra from her, a notebook lock. So now I am the proud owner of an Acer Aspire Timeline. A sleek 14inch gun metal grey, 8hr batterylife dolby intelcentrino, windows vista machine. Its ultra thin and light weight, you don't feel it when you carry it. It has wifi, bluetooth, camera everything!! You all will get to see it soon. :) I just need to outfit it with the latest tools.

Lastly about UFO, there is a saying "where there is smoke...there must be fire". If people all over the world are seeing something, then there must be something to see. It is not some Durian, Rambutan or Ciku errr.. I mean Ali, Ah Beng or Rajoo that had seen it. Accountants, Lawyers, US President, Pilots etc... Come on, would they tell a lie? What about the UFO in Texas where the whole town saw it!!!!!! Who is crazy now? But most people who've seen the UFO are afraid to come forward as they might be laughed at.

So, conclusion. I believe something is out there. I want to know (IW2K)

I saw Michael Jackson last night!

For a moment, through all the smoke and the dazzling lights, Michael Jackson came on the stage of the E&O Grand Ballroom! The encore performance, for what was the biggest social event of the year in Penang.

Thunderous applause broke about as "Michael" began his dance and "sang" "Dangerous". Confused? Well it wasn't really MJ, it was an imperosnator (someone who looks like and pretends to be). But you could feel MJ's spirit watching and smilling on all of us as we remember him.

Talk to Teacher Jason about the video clip of the show!
