Getting the hang of Oppa Gangnam Style

I wrote about dinosaurs and the fact that they may still be alive and I think I might have scared my downstairs neighbour doing the Oppa Gangnam Style which was more Boom Boom Dino Style. If you know me personally I am hardly what you call petite unless a sack of potatoes has suddenly become the norm for the size. I was prancing here and there to the music and generally having fun. Then I reliased that I might not be behaving like a good neighbour.

Hey...angry neighbour..oops BOOM BOOM Dino Style.

Currently the Korean wave is hitting Malaysia like a cultural Tsunami, from Samsung to some song..K-pop that is. Malaysian youths are now singing the Korean songs with aplomb. For I am still apprehensive of Kimchi, darn it I was getting used to MISO and before that flavours from Thailand. Korean BBQ, I've tried it once... somehow I have no memory of it. That and I didn't eat much. I miss Japanese food and Thai food, for my fixes I go to Tao and Japin for the former and eat the latter at home.

Speaking of food, America is facing OBCT... I mean obesity problems. How can anyone in America stay slim when they are the ones that invented "SUPERSIZE"? And now there's a report in today's CNN report that the Americans are served pasta that has over 3000 calories!!!!
Here are some examples of what they call a meal.

1. Cheesecake Factory's crispy chicken costoletta was not too far behind. According to the menu, it's a chicken breast lightly breaded and sautéed to a crispy golden brown. It is served with a lemon sauce, mashed potatoes and fresh asparagus.According to CSPI, it also has 2,610 calories, more than a 12-piece bucket of original recipe Kentucky Fried Chicken, and 4½ days' worth of saturated fat.

2. Johnny Rockets bacon cheddar double burger, sweet potato fries and Big Apple shake. This meal packs on 3,500 calories, 88 grams of saturated fat -- that's four days' worth -- 3,720 milligrams of sodium and 15 teaspoons of sugar, according to CSPI.

Looks so good but this is too much food for one. An adult is just supposed to consume 2000 calories in a day!!! This is blowing the whole days calorie on just one meal. This much food you can feed the dinosaurs with. I wonder if the had McD or Burger King or Wendy's... LOL.

All right, that's it from me.... Hey hey hey ... BOOM BOOM DINO STYLE.... XD

DINOSAURS are ALIVE?!

Recently, I've come across some material that could possibly prove that dinosaurs are still living among us. I mean not literally downtown Georgetown or strolling down Gurney Drive but in places such as Africa. Did the scientist get it wrong? Could it be that we are talking about Dragons? There are legends about Dragons almost throughout the world. It would make sense that we could find evidence of their existence.

This rotting animal carcass was pulled out of the sea near New Zeland  in 1977 by Japanese trawler. It looks like a ancient marine reptile Plesiosaur, could it be that these ancient animals survived until today?

The Captain and the crew agreed to have the  foul smelling carcass dumped back into the ocean. The total length of the carcass measured 10 meters (about 33 feet). Below is another report on living dinosaur.

And the mokele-mbembe feeds off of specific vegetation and fruit growing along the water’s edge. No matter where they have been spotted in Africa, the natives all say that hippopotamus and alligators quickly leave the section of the river where this creature roams. It is very territorial and aggressively protects its area. Every time natives are shown pictures, they quickly identify asauropod-type dinosaur, similar in shape to a small Apatosaurus. -  Adapted from http://c-ed.blogspot.com/2010/12/dinosaurs-not-millions-of-years-ago_24.html

Avengers Assemble! I'm back!

Being a comic book fan all my life, I was always disappointed with the movie renditions of my fav. superhero. Although we cannot blame the limited technology they had in the past, a comic book hero deserves better treatment. Don't get me started about the Transformers movies by Michael Bay, horrendous. Some may argue that Spiderman and Fantastic Four were good, I don't dispute this but they weren't GREAT were they? Some scenes maybe....X-men included but the one that really had my gears grinding was the Avengers.

Have you seen it? Really seen it? It's awesome on many levels. First the actors, I like everyone except Fury who BTW should be white. I am not a racist but FOLLOW the comic book...SHEESSH.. But that's just a small matter. Samuel L. Jackson is in too many of my fav. movies.. I tend to get dizzy. In StarWars he is Master Windu and then in another show he's ...... LOL. Next, there's Loki. He has charisma, charm and a decadent and devilish attitude. Unlike the Joker (Heath Ledger) He exudes class and evilness without the clown make-up.

The banter, what you would call chit-chat was very amusing among our heroes. It can be as long as Loki's speech or as short as Hulk's favourite two words "Hulk Smash". Then we have the Widow who's looks is matched by her skill in interrogation. Hawkeye had my vote for my latest favourite superhero, loved his arrows. Finally the CGI, what can I say but just wow, wow and wow! We had a whale like bio-mechanical troop carrier coming out of the dimensional hole only to be met by a knuckle sandwich from our green skinned gamma giant! Fantastic!

I don't know about you. I can't wait for more.

I've drawn some comics as a tribute to my favourite superheroes. Have a laugh, the are Malaysian in context, what-lah is the equivalent of "Really? You've got to be kidding!" Enjoy.

Oh now! KAPOW...no more Pau!

Shanghai authorities have seized more than 6,000 steamed buns and the Chinese city’s mayor has ordered a probe after they were found to have been dyed, expired or filled with unidentified chemicals. Oh No....not again...

The allegations are the latest in a string of food safety scares to rattle consumers in China, which was rocked three years ago by a tainted milk scandal that left at least six infants dead and sickened 300,000. Yes, I remember this.

Mayor Han Zheng said in a statement issued late yesterday that anyone found guilty of tampering with the popular Chinese snack would be prosecuted and pledged that the investigation results would be released to the public.

How can a country do such a thing to its people.... ridiculous!

These steamed buns are really good. The best ones are found in Hong Kong but are available throughout the world, where there is good Dim Sum House. To think I just had a "pau" yesterday.
