Dinosaur footprints found!

I am facinated by dinosaurs and when I read this news, I knew that I would blog about it. I think every kid dreams about meeting or discovering dinosaurs. I am no different, except maybe I'm an adult. So here's the story about the latest in dinosaurs.

In New Zealand geologists there have uncovered, what would be the first evidence that dinosaurs once roamed New Zealand over seventy million years ago. These footprints represent the first evidence ever of dinosaurs on South Island. Imagine that?

Footprints of dinosaurs were discovered in northwestern part of Nelson, a region at the northern end of South Island. In an area of about ten kilometers (six miles) in length comprise where the footprints were found. Six specific locations within the area hold the footprints.Sauropod

About twenty footprints were discovered in one particular soft sandstone location. The largest ones measure about 60 centimeters (two feet) in diameter! The footprints are believed to have belonged to sauropods - plant-eating dinosaurs which were among the largest animals to have lived, growing up to six metres in length and weighing several tonnes.

I wonder if there were any dinosaurs in Malaysia?
Wouldn't that be cool! What would you call the dinosaur if it were discovered? Teh-tarikosaurus, rotichanaisaurus, or Malaysiano-saurus? Maybe Onemalaysia-saur, M-Rex or Rojakosaurus? LOL. Use your imagination draw a picture of it, write your name and CL No., bring it to me.

It would be great fun!
